கெளரவ வாசுதேவ நாணாயக்கார,— உயர் கல்வி மற்றும் நெடுஞ்சாலைகள் அமைச்சரைக் கேட்பதற்கு,—
(அ) (i) உயிர் முறைமை தொழில்நுட்பவியல் பாடப் பிரிவில் கல்வி பயின்று, 2015 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதற் தடவையாக க.பொ.த. (உ/த) பரீட்சைக்குத் தோற்றி, அதில் உயர் மட்ட பெறுபேறுகளைப் பெற்றுள்ள இரத்தினபுரி மாவட்ட மாணவர்கள் இதுவரை எந்தவொரு பல்கலைக் கழகத்திற்கும் அனுமதிக்கப்படவில்லை என்பதையும்;
(ii) மேற்படி மாணவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட பல்கலைக்கழக கைநூலில் மேற்படி பாடம் தொடர்பான பட்டப் பாடநெறிக்கு சப்பிரகமுவ பல்கலைக்கழகம் உள்ளடக்கப்பட்டிருந்த போதிலும், மேற்படி பல்கலைக்கழகத்திற்கு இதுவரை எந்தவொரு மாணவரும் அனுமதிக்கப்படவில்லை என்பதையும்;
(iii) மேற்படி மாணவர்களுக்கு கிடைத்துள்ள தகவல்களின்படி கொழும்பு போன்ற வசதிகள் மிக்க மாவட்டங்களிலிருந்து குறைந்த Z புள்ளியின் கீழ் மாணவர்கள் 80 – 90 பேருக்கு பல்கலைக் கழக அனுமதி கிடைத்துள்ளது என்பதையும்;

(ஆ) (i) மேற்படி மாணவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்டுள்ள அநீதி தொடர்பாக சனாதிபதி, பிரதம அமைச்சர், அமைச்சர் மற்றும் பல்கலைக்கழக மானியங்கள் ஆணைக்குழுவிற்கும் மேன்முறையீடுகள் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள போதிலும் இதுவரை எவ்வித நீதியும் நிறைவேற்றப்படவில்லை என்பதை அவர் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வாரா;
(ii) மேலே (அ)(i) இல் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ள மாணவர்களை பல்கலைக்கழகங்களுக்கு அனுமதிப்பதற்குத் தேவையான நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொள்வாரா;
என்பதை அவர் இச்சபைக்கு அறிவிப்பாரா?

(a) (i) Forty five students from Ratnapura District have been admitted under the stream of Bio Systems Technology for the academic year 2015/2016.
(ii) Students were not admitted to the Sabaragamuwa University under the Technology Stream for the Academic Year 2015/2016 due to the issues regarding the facilities that should be provided when admitting students, and facilities required for the continuance of the course. The number of students proposed to be admitted to the Sabaragamuwa University had been admitted to other universities which conduct those courses.
(iii) Since students are admitted to the courses on all-island merit basis and on district merit basis proportionately to the population, the intake from each district differs.
Accordingly, when compare population in Colombo and Ratnapura Districts, the population in Colombo District is a greater number; therefore, 82 students have been selected from Colombo District under the stream Bio Systems Technology.
(b) (i) No unfairness has occurred as per with the existing legalized admissions policy for admitting students for universities.
(ii) In accordance with the Answer (a) (i) above, it would be clarified that there is not any possibility to fulfill this request.
(c) Does not arise.
