(i)    The Hon. H. M. D. B. Herath was sworn in as a Member of Parliament before the Hon. Deputy Speaker to fill the vacancy caused by reason of the death of the Hon. Salinda Dissanayake.
(ii)    The Hon. Manoj Prasanga Hewagampalage was sworn in as a Member of Parliament before the Hon. Deputy Speaker to fill the vacancy caused by reason of the death of the Hon. Chandrasiri Gajadeera.
(iii)    The Hon. Kuda Vidanalage Shantha Bandara was sworn in as a Member of Parliament before the Hon. Deputy Speaker to fill the vacancy caused by reason of the resignation of the Hon. Kuda Vidanalage Shantha Bandara.

Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Absorption of School Principals and Teachers to relevant services” was proposed by the Hon. S. Shritharan.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1930 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Wednesday 18th September 2019.
