(i)    The Third Report of the Committee on Public Accounts for the Third Session of the Eighth Parliament was presented by the Chairman of the Committee, the Hon. Lasantha Alagiyawanna.
(ii)    The Report compiled by the Sub Committee on Higher Education of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Education and Human Resources Development was presented by the Chairman of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Education and Human Resources Development Committee, the Hon. (Prof.) Ashu Marasinghe.

(i)    Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine, the Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne made a Ministerial Statement regarding the Lankadeepa Newspaper article regarding Health Ministry vehicles.

(ii)    Leader of the House of Parliament, the Hon. Lakshman Kiriella made a Ministerial Statement regarding the Foreign funded consultant to Parliament.


Personal Explanations

The Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen made a Personal Explanation on Hon. Wimal Weerawansa’s statement regarding his relationship with suicide bomber.


Main Business of the House for Today

Regulations under the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act

was passed by the House.


Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Plantation school unit to function as an affirmative action unit to develop schools” was proposed by the Hon. Mylvaganam Thilakarajah.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1910  Hrs. until 1030 Hrs. on Thursday 27th June 2019.
