Shops and Restaurants

A variety of facilities are available to all visitors to the Sri Lanka Parliament.

Bringing any food items or liquids into the Parliamentary Complex is strictly prohibited. Therefore, we kindly request you to stay hydrated and have your meals before entering the Parliamentary Complex.

The following facilities are provided for your welfare during your Parliament visit:

Jayanthipura Restaurant Premises

The Jayanthipura restaurant is located next to the visitor parking area and welcomes all visitors. It offers a selection of hot and cold beverages along with breakfast and lunch options. Additionally, there is a bakery section with delicious pastries and cakes.

Opening hours: 8:30 am – 8:30 pm

Public Cafeteria

You are allowed to purchase and consume food and drinks in the Public Cafeteria, located next to the Public Reception Counter.

Opening hours: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

Souvenir Shop

For your convenience, the souvenir shops are located at the Public Entrance of the Parliament building and near the restaurant beyond the playground in front of Parliament. These shops offer a range of gifts and souvenirs for purchase as you depart after your visit. They also contain current parliamentary documents, including Supreme Court decisions on bills, Constitutions, Standing Orders of the Parliament and Publications about the Parliament of Sri Lanka.

Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 4.00pm
Saturday: 8.30am to 1.00pm
Please note that the Souvenir Shop is closed during Sundays and public holidays
