Ministerial Statements
(i) The Hon. (Prof.) G. L. Peiris, Minister of Education replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Anura Dissanayaka under the Standing Order 27(2) of the Parliament on 08.01.2021 regarding University admission under new and old syllabi.
(ii) The Hon. Ajith Nivard Cabraal, State Minister of Money & Capital Market and State Enterprise Reforms replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Sajith Premadasa under the Standing Order 27(2) of the Parliament on 27.11.2020 regarding Issues faced by depositors of The Finance Company.
Main Business of the House for Today
Regulations under the National Gem and Jewellery Authority Act (appearing as Item No. 1 of today’s Order Paper)
were debated and adjourned for future date.
Motion at the Adjournment Time
Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Importation of ceramic tiles and sanitary ware” was proposed by the Hon. Mujibur Rahuman.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1730 Hrs. until 1000 Hrs. on Thursday 11th February 2021.
