Motions for Leave of Absence

Leave of Parliament was granted to the Hon. Chandrasiri Gajadeera, Member of Parliament for Matara Electoral District to be absent from sittings of Parliament with effect from 12.03.2019, moved by the Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena.


Presentation of Bills

(i)    The Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament moved the Bill entitled

“Revival of Underperforming Enterprises or Underutilized Assets (Repeal)”

to repeal the Revival of Underperforming Enterprises or Underutilized Assets Act, No. 43 of 2011.

(ii)    The Hon. Chief Government Whip moved the Bill entitled

“Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka (Amendment)”

to amend the Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka Law, No. 33 of 1975.

Order under the Strategic Development Projects Act

was approved by the House.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1800 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Wednesday 22nd May 2019.
