2436/2018: Education Minister's Statement Regarding G.C.E. (A/L) students affected by floods could sit for the exam for the 4th time not communicated to the Dept. of Examinations

Hon. Vasudeva Nanayakkara,— To ask the Minister of Education,—

(a) Will he inform this House—

(i) whether he is aware that the Prime Minister has stated that the students residing in areas affected by recent floods can sit the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination four times;

(ii) whether he admits that the Department of Examination - Sri Lanka has not received any instructions pertaining to it nevertheless; and

(iii) if so, whether he will take action to send such instructions to the Department of Examination - Sri Lanka?

(b) If not, why?
