Hon. T. Ranjith De Soyza,— To ask the Minister of Home Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he accepts the fact that the Public Service Commission adopts a formal recruitment procedure in recruiting Grama Niladharies;
(ii) whether measures are being taken to recruit retired Grama Niladharies on contract basis despite the fact that the results of a competitive examination of the Department of Examination to recruit new Grama Niladharies, are about to be issued; and
(iii) if so, whether he accepts the fact that aforesaid situation causes a severe injustice on the applicants who appeared for the aforesaid competitive examination?
(b) Will he also inform this House of the measures that have been taken, if the new recruitments are to be made on contract basis?
(c) If not , why ?
