Hon. Vasudeva Nanayakkara,—To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether the decision to run a budget office at Parliament is being implemented;
(ii) of the institute from which enquiries can be made about possible budget cuts;
(iii) of the methodology as to how Parliament can obtain information about the progress of the implementation of pledges given through the budget; and
(iv) whether a calendar for implementing the 2017 budget proposals for welfare will be provided?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) out of the budget proposals for year 2015, of those that were not implemented; and
(ii) of the reasons as to why those proposals were not implemented?
(c) If not, why?
