Hon. R. M. Ranjith Madduma Bandara,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) action is being pursued to demolish buildings constructed with approved plans in freehold lands for widening of roads carried out under the town development plan launched in the Badalkumbura town in Monaragala District ; and
(ii) such activities have been executed forcibly, deploying the officials of the Urban Development Authority and the Army without giving notice in advance?
(b) Will he state whether compensation will be paid for the buildings demolished and lands acquired in violation of laws for widening of the roads?
(c) If not, why ?

(අ) (i) සැලසුම් අනුමත කර ඉදිකරන ලද ගොඩනැඟිලි කඩා ඉවත් කිරීමක් සිදු නොකළ අතර, මාර්ග රක්ෂිතය තුළ අනවසරයෙන් ඉදිකර තිබූ ගොඩනැඟිලි කොටස් කඩා ඉවත් කරන ලදී.
(ii) මාර්ග සංවර්ධන අධිකාරියෙන් 2012.01.03 දින අදාළ පුද්ගලයින්ට පූර්ව දැනුම්දීමක් සිදු කර ඇත. බලහත්කාරයෙන් කඩා ඉවත් කිරීමක් සිදු කර නැත.
(ආ) වන්දි ගෙවීමක් සිදු නොකරයි.
(ඇ) ඉඩම් හිමියන් විසින් සිය කැමැත්තෙන් මාර්ග රක්ෂිතය තුළ අනවසරයෙන් ඉදිකර තිබූ තම ගොඩනැඟිලි කඩා ඉවත් කර ගනිමින් නගර සංවර්ධනයට සහයෝගය ලබා දුන් බැවින් වන්දි ගෙවීමේ අවශ්යතාවක් පැන නැඟී නොමැත.
