Presentation of Reports from the Committees

(i)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Transport and Communication was presented by the Chair of the Committee, the Hon. Lasantha Alagiyawanna.
(ii)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Legal Affairs (anti-corruption) and Media was presented by the Hon. Vijitha Herath, member of the Committee on behalf of the Chair of the Committee, the Hon. Ajith P. Perera.
(iii)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Education and Human Resources Development was presented by the Hon. (Mrs.) Rohini Kumari Wijerathna, member of the Committee on behalf of the Chair of the Committee, the Hon. (Prof.) Ashu Marasinghe.


Ministerial Statements

(i)    Minister of Women & Child Affairs and Social Security and Minister of Healthcare and Indigenous Medical Services, the Hon. (Mrs.) Pavithradevi Wanniarachchi replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Sajith Premadasa under the Standing Order 27(2) of the Parliament on 06.02.2020 regarding problems faced by Disabled Community.
(ii) Minister of Industrial Export and Investment Promotion and Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, the Hon. Prasanna Ranatunga replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Anura Dissanayaka under the Standing Order 27(2) of the Parliament on 06.02.2020 regarding corruptions in Sri Lankan Airlines.


Presentation of Bills

The Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament moved the Bill entitled

“Ports and Airports Development Levy (Amendment)”

to amend the Ports and Airports Development Levy Act, No. 18 of 2011.

  
Votes of Condolence

Votes of Condolence on the following Ex-Members of Parliament were taken up and completed:-
(i)    The Late Hon. C. Nanda Mathew
(ii)    The Late Hon. (Dr.) Ranjith Atapattu
(iii)    The Late Hon. Prince Casinader
(iv)    The Late Hon. M. S. Themis
