The Hon. Chief Government Whip moved the Bill entitled
“Immigrants and Emigrants (Amendment)”
to amend the Immigrants and Emigrants Act (Chapter 351).
House agreed to the following Motion moved by the Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Leader of the House of Parliament,
Ministerial Consultative Committees
That notwithstanding the resolution adopted by Parliament on 09th July 2019, the designations of the following Ministerial Consultative Committees shall be re-designated as follows as per the decision taken by the Committee of Selection on 23rd August 2019
• The Ministerial Consultative Committee on Agriculture, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development as the “Ministerial Consultative Committee on Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development”; and
• The Ministerial Consultative Committee on Public Administration, Disaster Management and Rural Economic Affairs as the “Ministerial Consultative Committee on Public Administration, Disaster Management and Livestock Development”
Adjournment Motion
Adjournment Motion on “Misappropriation of Central Cultural Fund” was proposed by the Hon. T. B. Ekanayake.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1843 Hrs. until 1030 Hrs. on Thursday 5th September 2019.
