Hon. Vasudeva Nanayakkara,—To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether Minister Sarath Fonseka even at present attached to Sri Lanka Army in the capacity of a Field Marshal;
(ii) of the type of activities relating to military affairs in which he can be involved;
(iii) of the nature the functions that he can carry out wearing his uniform;
(iv) of the powers that is granted to him or that can be given to him in military affairs;
(v) whether he has the right to hold the membership of Parliament while being a military officer; and
(vi) whether he has the right to hold a ministerial portfolio while being a military officer?
(b) If not, why?
