Hon. Douglas Devananda,—To ask the Minister of Prison Reforms, Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Hindu Religious Affairs,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) more than 125 families have been resettled in the village called Irudayapuram in Manachchenai belonged to the Muthur Divisional Secretariat Division in the Trincomalee District in the year 2013; and
(ii) these people have been severely affected as they have not been provided with basic facilities and permanent houses since the time of resettlement in these villages;
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he will take steps to provide these villages with basic facilities and permanent housing facilities; and
(ii) if so, on which date?
(c) If not, why?
