Hon. Ashoka Priyantha,— To ask the Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware that coastal belt of the Udappuwa area has been subjected to severe sea erosion;
(ii) if so, the number of fishing families affected by the sea erosion; and
(iii) the measures to be adopted by the Ministry to protect the said coastal belt from sea erosion?
(b) If not, why?
