Hon. S. M. Marikkar,— To ask the Minister of Higher Education and Highways,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the reason why the Marine Drive ends at the boundary between Dehiwala and Wellawatta;
(ii) whether there is a plan to extend the above road up to Moratuwa;
(iii) if so, whether a part of the sports grounds of the St. Thomas College, Mt. Lavinia will be taken over;
(iv) if so, of the extent of land thus taken over; and
(v) of the date on which the taking over will take place?
(b) If not, why?
