Hon. Bandula Gunawardana,—To ask Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) the actions taken to upgrade the export processing zones as per proposal No. 200 of the 2016 budget;
(ii) the progress of the export processing zones which are operating in our country at present;
(iii) whether the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka has intervened into commencing new export processing zones ;
(iv) the performance of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka during the period from the year 2000 up to 2016; and
(v) the directors of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka?
(b) If not, why?
