Hon.Vijitha Herath,— To ask the Minister of Finance,—
(a) Is he aware that —
(i) Family Health Officers too are included in the scheme of providing motorcycles to Public Servants;
(ii) both the officers on field duty as well as the officers on duty in hospitals are entitled to this facility;
(iii) although the provision of motorcycles has taken place in the proper manner in certain areas, it has not been implemented properly in a few areas; and
(iv) especially, the Family Health Officers employed at the Gampaha Hospital have not been provided with motorcycles yet?
(b) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether steps will be taken to provide motorcycles to those who have not received motorcycles in Gampaha and in other areas of the island so far; and
(ii) of the period of time it may take to achieve this?
(c) If not, why?
