Hon. Ajith Kumara,— To ask the Minister of Wildlife Resources Conservation,—
(a) Will he state in this House—
(i) the total extent of land of the Muthurajawela sanctuary;
(ii) the number of endemic animal species in that sanctuary;
(iii) the number of endemic animal species out of the aforesaid number of species;
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka has made a request to get 150 acres of land from the area that belonged to the Muthurajawela sanctuary;
(ii) whether there is a decision to transfer the aforesaid 150 acres to a certain institution;
(iii) the project that is scheduled to be implemented by this institution;
(iv) the damage caused to the environment by this project;
(v) the solutions given with regard to the problems caused due to the aforesaid damage caused to the environment;
(c) If not, why?
