Hon. R. M. Ranjith Madduma Bandara,— To ask the Minister of Transport,—
(a) Is he aware—
(i) that the Mr. A.M. Karunapala residing at ‘Mayurasiri’ in Diyakobala, Bibila joined the SLTB on 16.12.1980 and went on retirement on 24.06.2013; and
(ii) that the said officer who has completed a service period of 32 years deserves a gratuity of Rs. 1,250,400.00?
(b) Will he state whether arrangements will be made to award the gratuity deserved by Mr. A.M. Karunapala expeditiously?
(c) If not, why?
