Hon. Ashok Abeysinghe,— To ask the Minister of Petroleum Industries,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the reasons for the continuous losses incurred by the Ceylon Petoleum Corporation;
(ii) of the date on which the Sapugaskanda oil refinery was established;
(iii) of the measures taken to increase the efficiency of that oil refinery;
(iv) of the amount of crude oil imported annually to this country within the period from 2011 to 2013; and
(v) whether he admits that a loss is suffered by the government as a result of importing refined oil due to the decline in the importation of crude oil?
(b) If not, why?
