Hon. (Mrs.) Thalatha Atukorale,— To ask the Minister of Highways, Ports and Shipping,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the Colombo- Batticaloa road will be developed under the town and highway development programme of the Urban Development Authority;
(ii) if so, the extent (length and width) of the road that will be developed;
(iii) whether the property that will be damaged in the development process of the aforesaid road will be acquired following a proper procedure;
(iv) the name of the authority that has power to acquire property;
(v) as to who is in-charge of acquisition;
(vi) whether a compensation will be paid for the property that will be acquired; and
(vii) if a compensation is paid, the basis on which that compensation is assessed?
(b) If not, why?

කොළඹ-මඩකලපුව මාර්ගය ලෙස සඳහන් කර ඇත්තේ කොළඹ සිට පේරාදෙණියටත්, පේරාදෙණිය සිට බදුල්ල හරහා චෙන්කලාඩි දක්වා දිවෙන මාර්ගයයි. මෙම මාර්ගයේ බදුල්ල සිට චෙන්කලාඩි දක්වා වන කිලෝමීටර් 150ක දුර ප්රමාණය පුනරුත්ථාපනය කිරීමට නියමිතව ඇත. එයට අදාළ විස්තර පහත සඳහන් වේ.
(ii) බදුල්ල සිට චෙන්කලාඩි දක්වා කිලෝමීටර් 150ක දුර ප්රමාණයට අදාළව;

යෝජිත පළල - මීටර් 12යි
(iii) ඔව්.
(iv) ඉඩම් අමාත්යාංශය සහ අදාළ ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම්
(v) තක්සේරු දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සහ අදාළ ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම්
(vi) ඔව්
(vii) දැනට පවතින වෙළෙඳ පොළ වටිනාකම අනුව
(ආ) පැන නොනඟී.
