Hon. (Mrs.) Anoma Gamage,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the basic educational qualifications considered when teachers are recruited for Pirivena Educational Institutes;
(ii) whether there is a shortage of teachers required for those institutions; and
(iii) if so, the number of teachers required?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the name of the incumbent Director of the Pirivena Education Unit of the Ministry of Education;
(ii) his educational qualifications; and
(iii) whether that officer is in the Sri Lanka Educational Administrative Service?
(c) If not, why?
