Hon. Ajith P. Perera,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he admits that consumption of liquor should be minimized in Sri Lanka;
(ii) if so, of the steps that have been taken by the government to minimize consumption of liquor;
(iii) whether the policy of minimizing the consumption of liquor in the country has been effective given the number of liters of liquor that is currently being consumed?
(b) If not, why?
