Hon. Wasantha Aluwihare,— To ask the Minister of Minor Export Crop Promotion ,—
(a) Is he aware that there is a land in the village of Thibbatumulla in the Ukuwela Divisional Secretary’s Division in the Matale District that belongs to the Department of Minor Export Crops ?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) the total extent;
(ii) the extent that is cultivated;
(iii) the extent in which no cultivation has been done;
(iv) the profit earned or loss incurred out of the minor export crops that have been cultivated;
(v) the profit or loss made out of other resources;
(vi) the number of employees employed; and
(vii) the total annual profit or loss;
of the above land that belongs to the Department of Minor Export Crops ?
(c) Will he state—
(i) whether this land that belongs to the Department of Minor Export Crops has been acquired by some persons; and
(ii) if it has been so acquired, on what basis has it been done ?
(d) If not, why ?
