Hon. Gayantha Karunatilleka,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the annual dietary coconut oil consumption in Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the quantity, produced domestically out of the aforesaid quantity; and
(iii) of the quantity of coconut oil that is imported?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) of the number of registered producers among local coconut oil producers;
(ii) whether he is aware that there are unregistered coconut oil producers;
(iii) whether he accepts that the coconut oil that they produce, is released to the market; and
(iv) of the action that will be taken against the producers who produce coconut oil that does not conform to the standards?
(c) If not, why?
