Hon. Gamini Jayawickrama Perera,— To ask the Minister of Health,—
(a) Is he aware that officers attached to the Navy Camp near the harbour have contracted Dengue through Dengue mosquitoes that breed in water that gets collected on top of the containers piled up in the Colombo harbour?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the number of those who contracted Dengue in this camp ;
(ii) separately, the number of officers who died of Dengue in this camp in 2009, 2010 and 2011 ;
(iii) the names of those officers who died ; and
(iv) the steps to be taken to curb the spread of Dengue in and around this camp?
(c) If not, why ?
