Hon. Velu Kumar,—To ask the Minister of Public Services, Provincial Councils & Local Government,—
(a) Will he inform the House—
(i) whether he is aware that a condominium housing complex is in existence in the “Soyza Forest” area within the Nawalapitiya Urban Council limits for the use of workers at the Nawalapitiya Urban Council;
(ii) how many houses were constructed at the commencement of this condominium housing project;
(iii) how many families were settled there;
(iv) how many houses have been registered and have electricity supply; and
(v) how many families live in those houses?
(b) Will he also inform the House—
(i) whether plans have been made in recent times for the construction of a new housing project to replace the above-mentioned condominium housing complex;
(ii) if so, what that plan is?
(c) If not, why?
