Hon. Nalin Bandara Jayamaha,— To ask the Minister of Irrigation,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) a feeder canal has been made to take water to the Kochchipathana tank from the Demata Wewa;
(ii) cross roads have to be made to access the houses situated on either side of that canal owing to this; and
(iii) water does not flow along this canal and the constructions of it are yet to be completed?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) the estimated cost of the project of constructing the above canal;
(ii) the total cost incurred to complete that project;
(iii) whether the expected objectives of that project have been achieved; and
(iv) if so, the volume of water that is released along this canal at present?
(c) If not, why?
