Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara,— To ask the Minister of Public Administration, Disaster Management and Livestock Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of houses that were damaged by the strong winds that ravaged the Kurunegala district on or around 11th June 2018 in respect of each Divisional Secretariat Division, separately;
(ii) the number of families that was displaced;
(iii) the number of lives that was lost; and
(iv) the value of the properties lost?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the funds allocated to reconstruct the relevant properties;
(ii) whether those funds have been properly disbursed;
(iii) whether compensation has been paid in respect of lost lives;
(iv) if so, the amount paid as compensation;
(v) are there any houses for which no compensation has been paid; and
(vi) if so, the reason for that?
(c) If not, why?
