Presentation of Bills

Buddhist Temporalities (Amendment)
The Hon. Chief Government Whip moved a Bill to amend the Buddhist Temporalities Ordinance.

Convention against Doping in Sport
The Hon. Minister of Sports moved a Bill to give effect to the International Conventional Against Doping in Sport; to make provision for the Implementation in Sri Lanka of the said Convention by the establishment of the Sri Lanka Anti Doping Agency and for Specifying the applicable Domestic Legal Mechanism to Combat Doping in Sport within the framework of the aforesaid Convention; and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.


Private Members’ Bills

The Hon. Ajith P. Perera was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled

“Bill to amend the Sri Lanka Institute of Taxation (Incorporation) Act, No.21 of 2000”

The above was referred to the Minister of Finance & Planning for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5).

Science and Technology Development (Amendment) Bill
was passed by the House.


Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on "Kithulgala Broad Lane hydroelectricity project" was moved by the Hon. Nalin Bandara Jayamaha.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1831 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Wednesday 09th October 2013.
