Defence Services Command and Staff College (Amendment)
The Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament moved the Bill to amend the Defence Services Command and Staff College Act, No. 5 of 2008.
Private Members’ Bills
The Hon. (Al-Haj) A. H. M. Azwer was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled
"Earl Gunasekara Foundation (Incorporation)"
The above Bill was referred to the Minister of Education for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5).
Main Business of the House for Today
The following Bills (appearing as Item Nos. 4,5,8 and 9 of today’s Order Paper) were passed by the House:-
(i) Ports and Airports Development Levy (Amendment)
(ii) Economic Service Charge (Amendment)
(iii) Excise (Amendment)
(iv) Telecommunication Levy (Amendment) - with amendments
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1755 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Wednesday 20th March 2013.
