Main Business of the House for Today

Consideration of the Resolution as per Article 107(2) of the Constitution for a motion of Parliament to be presented to His Excellency the President for the removal of the Hon. (Dr.) (Mrs.) Upatissa Atapattu Bandaranayake Wasala Mudiyanse Ralahamilage Shirani Anshumala Bandaranayake from the office of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

A division by name was taken (155 in favour; 49 against) and passed by the House.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 2000 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Tuesday 22nd January 2013.
