Private Members’ Bills

(i) The Hon. Tissa Attanayake was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled
"Hela Jana Foundation (Incorporation)".


(ii) The Hon. (Dr.) Ramesh Pathirana was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled
"Poddala-Meepawala Sri Sudarshanarama Viharaya Educational Relief Foundation (Incorporation)".


(iii) The Hon. Udith Lokubandara was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled
"Global Humanitarian Foundation (Incorporation)".


The above Three Bills were referred to the Minister of Social Services for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5).

Division by name was taken at the Second Reading (160 in favour; 53 against) and Third Reading (159 in favour; 42 against), and passed by the House with amendments.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 2035 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Wednesday 9th January 2013.
