Main Business of the House for Today

Regulations under the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act

were passed by the House.

Second Reading of the following Incorporation Bills (appearing as Item Nos. 3 and 4 of today’s Order Paper) were moved by the House and referred to the Standing Committee (Legislative) “A”:-

(i) Chandima Weerakkody Foundation
(ii) Nimal Siripala de Silva Foundation


Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Financial assistance for Tamil magazine publishers” was moved by the Hon. (Al-Haj) A.H.M. Azwer.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1849 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Thursday 25th October 2012.
