Ministerial Statements
(i) Hon. Sunil Handunnetti, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Shanakiyan Rajaputhiran Rasamanickam under the Standing Order 27(2) of the Parliament on 24.06.2026 regarding details of mineral exploration, mining and national mineral policy.
(ii) Hon. Anura Karunathilaka, Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation and Minister of Energy replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Sajith Premadasa under the Standing Order 27(2) of the Parliament on 23.06.2026 regarding construction of eastern terminal and other issues in Sri Lanka port authority.
(iii) Hon. Major General (Rtd.) Aruna Jayasekera, Deputy Minister of Defence, on behalf of the Minister of Defence replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Ravi Karunanayake under the Standing Order 27(2) of the Parliament on 03.02.2026 regarding implementation of compensation, restoration and resettlement measures after cyclone ‘Ditwah’.
(iv) Hon. Harshana Nanayakkara, Attorney at Law, Minister of Justice and National Integration made a Ministerial Statement regarding unrest of Negombo prison.

Adjournment Motion
Adjournment Motion on “unrest of Negombo prison” was proposed by the Hon. Sajith Premadasa, Member of Parliament.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1841 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Wednesday 8th July 2026.
