Third Installment – Part I of the Report of the Auditor– General for the Financial Year 2024 in terms of Article 154(6) of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lank.


Presentation of Papers

(i)    Annual Report of the Sugarcane Research Institute for the year 2023.
(ii)    Report on the Submission of observations and steps taken in terms of the Standing Order 120(4) of the Parliament with regard to the matters mentioned on the National Gem and Jewellery Authority in the report of the Committee on Public Enterprises which was presented to Parliament.
(iii)    Performance Report of the Food Commissioner’s Department for the year 2024.
(iv)     Annual Report of the National Youth Services Council for the year 2023.

Main Business of the House for Today

(i) Sri Lanka Electricity (Amendment) Bill – with amendments - Division was taken at the Second Reading (121 in favour; 25 against)
(ii)    Order under the Tobacco Tax Act
(iii)    Regulations under the Tea (Tax and Control of Export) Act
