Main Business of the House for Today

Resolution under paragraph (2) of the Article 150 of the Constitution (Vote on Account 2010)

A division was taken (125 in favour, 78 against) and the Motion was passed by the House.


The following items (appearing as Item Nos. 2, 3 and 4 of today’s Order Paper) were also passed by the House:-

(i) Supplementary Sum - Head 249 - Programme 01 (Ministry of Finance and Planning)
(ii) Order under Inland Revenue Act
(iii) Order under Excise (Special Provisions) Act


Motion at Adjournment Time

Motion at Adjournment Time on “Problems in the Health Sector” was moved by the Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1815 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Friday 6th November 2009.
