The Hon. Lalith Dissanayake was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled “Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (Incorporation)”.


Main Business of the House for Today

The following items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 and 2 of today’s Order Paper) were passed by the House. Item (ii) was passed with amendments.

(i) Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (Amendment) Bill - Second Reading.
(ii) Parliamentary Elections (Amendment) Bill - Second Reading.


Motion at Adjournment Time

Motion at Adjournment Time on “Remedial steps for Pension Anomalies” was moved by the Hon. R.M. Padma Udayashantha Gunasekara.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1630 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Friday 25th September 2009.
