•    Second Instalment – Parts XXIII and XXIV, Third Instalment – Part XII and Ninth Instalment – Parts X, XI and XII of the Report of the Auditor–General for the Financial Year 2018; and
•    Eighth Instalment – Part II of the Report of the Auditor–General for the Financial Year 2020

(iii)    Regulations made by the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine under Section 72 read with Section 19(e) of the Medical Ordinance (Chapter 105) published in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 2055/54 of 26th January 2018 and amending those Regulations by the Minister of Healthcare and Indigenous Medical Services published in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 2155/15 of 26th December 2019
(iv)    Report on the Submission of observations and steps taken in terms of the Standing Order 119(4) of the Parliament with regard to the matters mentioned on the performance of the Local Institutes of Central Province for the year 2017 in the Third Report for the Third Session of the Eighth Parliament of the Committee on Public Accounts  which was presented to Parliament on 21.06.2019


Presentation of Reports from the Committees

(i)    The Report of the Committee on Public Finance was presented by the Hon. (Prof.) Ashu Marasinghe, member of the Committee on behalf of the Chair of the Committee, the Hon. M. A. Sumanthiran.
(ii)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Health and Human Welfare, Social Empowerment was presented by the Chair of the Committee, the Hon. Mylvaganam Thilakarajah.
(iii)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Manufacturing and Services was presented by the Chair of the Committee, the Hon. Sujith Sanjaya Perera.
(iv)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on National Security was presented by the Chair of the Committee, the Hon. Malith Jayathilake.
(v)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Education and Human Resources Development was presented by the Chair of the Committee, the Hon. (Prof.) Ashu Marasinghe.

Hon. (Dr.) Bandula Gunawardana, Minister of Information and Mass Media and Minister of Higher Education, Technology and Innovation replied to the above Question.


Main Business of the House for Today

Institute of Environmental Professionals, Sri Lanka (Incorporation) Bill (appearing as Item No. 1 of today’s Order Paper)

was passed by the House.


Adjournment Motion

Adjournment Debate on “The Forensic Audit Report regarding the issuing of Treasury Bonds by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL)” was continued.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1830 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Thursday 20th February 2020.
