Hon. (Dr.) Bandula Gunawardana, Minister of Information and Mass Media and Minister of Higher Education, Technology and Innovation replied to the above Question.

(i) Ministerial Consultative Committees
Twenty nine (29) Ministerial Consultative Committees be appointed to be designated as follows:—
1. Ministerial Consultative Committee on Defence
2. Ministerial Consultative Committee on Finance, Economy and Policy Development
3. Ministerial Consultative Committee on Buddhasasana, Cultural and Religious Affairs
4. Ministerial Consultative Committee on Urban Development, Water Supply and Housing Facilities
5. Ministerial Consultative Committee on Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development
6. Ministerial Consultative Committee on Internal Trade, Food Security and Consumer Welfare
7. Ministerial Consultative Committee on Justice, Human Rights & Legal Reforms
8. Ministerial Consultative Committee on Foreign Relations
9. Ministerial Consultative Committee on Skills Development, Employment and Labour Relations
10. Ministerial Consultative Committee on Roads and Highways

29. Ministerial Consultative Committee on Tourism and Civil Aviation
Each Ministerial Consultative Committee shall consist of the Cabinet Minister in charge of the relevant subject as the Chair, State Minister, Deputy Minister and seven (07) other Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection to discuss and report upon such matters as are referred to the Committee notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order 112 of the Parliament;
The quorum of each Ministerial Consultative Committee shall be three (03) Members.
(ii) Committee on Public Finance
That notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order 121 of the Parliament, the Committee on Public Finance shall consist of thirteen (13) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection.
Votes of Condolence
Vote of Condolence on the late Hon. T. Ranjith De Zoysa, Member of Parliament, was taken up and completed.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1548 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Wednesday 5th February 2020.
