Hon. Chaminda Wijesiri,— To ask the Minister of Provincial Councils, Local Government and Sports,—
(a) Is he aware that the Auditor-General has sent to the Chief Secretary of the Uva Province the inquiry report No. SIN/B/AG/KI/2017/02 dated 20.04.2017 in respect of the irregularities that have taken place and are taking place in the Uva Provincial Council?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he would present to this House the facts contained in the paragraphs from 3(a)(i) to (x) of the aforesaid report which disclose information regarding the foreign study tours of the public representatives and staff-grade officers of the Uva Provincial Council;
(ii) whether observations of the report that have been presented in paragraphs from (b)(i) to (iii) in regard to the aforesaid disclosures will be presented to this House?
(c) If not, why?
