Hon. (Mrs.) Rohini Kumari Wijerathna,—To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the total number of schools functioning in the Matale District under the central provincial council;
(ii) of the names of the aforesaid schools;
(iii) out of those schools, of the number of those that are currently functioning under acting principals and of the names of such schools;
(iv) separately, on per Education Region basis, of the total number of teacher vacancies currently existing in the District; and
(v) of the steps that will be taken by the Ministry to fill the vacancies existing for principals and teachers in the Matale District?
(b) If not, why?
