Hon. (Dr.) Bandula Gunawardana,—To ask Minister of Plantation Industries,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the measures taken in the year 2016 in order to achieve the objective of making regional plantation companies registered companies in the Colombo Stock Exchange, as per the proposal No. 156 of the 2016 budget ;
(ii) whether he will submit a comprehensive report of the plantation companies established in the year 1992 along with the names of their owners;
(iii) the profits earned or the losses incurred by each of the plantation company mentioned above in each year during the period from the year 1992 up to 2016, separately; and
(iv) the number of acres owned by each regional plantation company mentioned above along with their productivity, separately?
(b) If not, why?
