Hon. (Dr.) Bandula Gunawardana,— To ask the Minister of Finance and Mass Media,—(1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) in terms of Budget proposal No. 132 of budget 2016, whether he accepts the fact that Rs. 1000 Million has been allocated to construct three massive warehouses in Polonnaruwa, Kilinochchi and Rathnapura (Embilipitiya) districs and to complete the construction of a warehouse that is being constructed in Mannar district;
(ii) whether the original cost estimate and the current progress report on the warehouse that is being constructed in Mannar district, will be submitted;
(iii) of the progress made at the constructions of three warehouse complexes in Kilinochchi, Embilipitiya and Polonnaruwa; and
(iv) of the manner in which Rs. 1000 millions that was allocated for the proposal No. 132 of budget 2016, was spent?
(b) If not, why?
