Hon. M. T. Hasen Ali,— To ask the Minister of Social Services ,—
(a) Will he state —
(i) the privileges and relief granted to the elderly persons who hold the official identity cards that are issued by the National Secretariat for the Elderly Persons;
(ii) whether there is a programme for providing monthly financial assistance to an elderly person in a low income family, who holds an above mentioned identity card;
(iii) the privileges granted in keeping with the Mahinda Chinthana policies to an elderly person who holds an above mentioned identity card?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the circulars that have been issued with regard to the implementation of programmes that provide privileges, facilities and relief to the persons who hold the official identity cards mentioned above; and
(ii) the institutions through which the aforesaid circulars are implemented?
(c) If not, why?
