Hon . Ajith Mannapperuma,— To ask the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of consumers who have obtained solar power electricity connections under the “ Sooriya Bala Sangramaya” Project;
(ii) the price paid per one unit of electricity added by a consumer to the Ceylon Electricity Board under the “Sooriya Bala Sangramaya” project;
(iii) the capacity of electricity expected to be added to the national grid within the next 5 years under the initial projects; and
(iv) the reason for the lackadaisical approach shown by the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy to add solar power to the national grid?
(b) If not, why?
