Hon. Thushara Indunil Amarasena,—To ask the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the date on which ‘Ratama Eliyai Andura Duralai’ national electrification programme was commenced;
(ii) separately the number of household units for which electricity connections have been supplied by the Ceylon Electricity Board and Lanka Electricity Company (LECO) (Pvt.) Ltd.;
(iii) separately, the amounts of money spent by the Ceylon Electricity Board and Lanka Electricity Company (LECO) (Pvt.) Ltd. under the aforesaid programme?
(b) Out of the households in Sri Lanka, will he also inform this House of the percentage of households for which electricity connections have been provided by now?
(c) If not, why?
