Hon. Shehan Semasinghe,— To ask the Minister of Health,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of kidney patients reported from Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa districts in year 2009 ;
(ii) whether the number of patients has increased or decreased when compared with the number of patients in the previous year?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the causes of the renal failure that is prevalent in Rajarata area have been identified ;
(ii) if so, what they are ;
(iii) whether there is a proposed or on going programme to eliminate the aforesaid causes from that area?
(c) If not, why?
