Hon. S.M. Marikkar,—To ask the Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether there is a programme with the Department of Police to provide personal police security to Sri Lankan citizens who are not People’s Representatives;
(ii) if so, of the persons to whom such security has been provided;
(iii) separately of the number of security officers provided to them?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether Police or Army security is provided to the electoral organizers of the political parties ;
(ii) if so, of the persons to whom such security has been provided; and
(iii) separately of the number of security officers provided to them?
(c) If not, why?
